Project 366: The Week of Excitement!

What a week!

I celebrated my birthday with the family and received some awesome presents that I've yet to take pictures of.

I had another interview. It's in God's hands. I really could care less either way. I know that sounds harsh, but I'm not that desperate, you know? Maybe desperate is the wrong word. Let me try again... I've moved onto the second round of one job for a therapist/clinician position. However, if one of the jobs that I interviewed for, offers me a job, I'll accept it. If I get either one, good. If I don't, good. I mean, there will be other opportunities, if I don't. Whatever job I get, I don't care (that's a lie. i do). I mean, I would like it to be equivalent to what I was previously making (which would be more difficult, since it was a salaried position making a certain amount. i'm not saying the amount, because i don't like to talk about how much money that i made). Luckily, two of the jobs that I recently interviewed for are on par (or more) with the pay that I once was making.

I still don't regret quitting. I miss the money, but not the work itself, the environment, and how I was treated. Ideally, I would not want to start working until the middle of June, due to "certain" things happening. I just really don't want it to interfere and conflict with my photography business. That's one of my biggest fears. I need to be able to do that. I need to be off on weekends (ideally), because that is when weddings usually take place. So yeah. My long-time goal is in the next two years to be able to quit my job and do photography full-time like so many people that I personally know do.

Plus, I have a new purchase. Can you find it in the pictures? More to come on this later.

I also picked the WINNING horse for the Kentucky Derby. I picked the horse, I'll Have Another, and it won! Too bad that I did not bet any actual money. Sad. If only...

1-2. Flowers from my hubby for my birthday (April 26). Birthday post: 26 Things I Learned in 26 Years and any (and upcoming) post related to California (since that was my birthday gift).

1-2. Sleepy Royce and Bentley loves to cuddle with us.
3. Buying some extra UV filters for my other lenses.
4. Macaroni and cheese. Enough said.

Celebrating my birthday (April 26) with the family.

1. Hubby's dad grilled out burgers.
2. Corn that had been wrapped in bacon, had the husk put back on, wrapped in aluminium foil, and then put onto the grill. An all day progress, but still the best corn that I've ever eaten.
3. Hubby
4. Me

1. Hubby's mom's family cheesecake recipe.
2. Dog pile on mommy.

1-4. So interesting to see my klout topics.

1. Me!
2. I got a new car (well, used). What what! More on this later!

1. Bentley sleeping behind our sectional.
2. Royce.
3-4. Bentley and Royce.

1. No cherries? Whaaaat?!?!
2. Blinded by the flash.
3. OOTN (outfit of the night)
4. Forward facing camera always takes pretty much unflattering pictures.

1. This is what I'm talking about.
2-3. Fun fun fun. Up in the balcony VIP section.
4. Derby is a big thing in Kentucky. Heck, just even horse races (see Keeneland). I picked the horse, I'll Have Another. Guess who won within the last ten or twenty seconds? I'LL HAVE ANOTHER! I picked the horse that won!! Too bad that I didn't bet any money. Sad face.

Haha I ALMOST left the cherry out of a guy's Whiskey Sour today, because I hate getting sticky. However, I gave it to him anyways, since they kind of make the drink!
