Well, I graduated in May 2008. So far, I am currently unemployed. It sucks, but at the same time it is fine. It gives me time to find a "real" job that I would make me feel like my degree is being put to use. I want to feel like I went to college for a reason, not to be working in the same job that I had in high school. The only way I would take a job such as that is if that was the only option I had.
I've been lucky and blessed to be called in for great interviews. It seems with every phone call that the job gets better and better.
-----First interview: 911 Dispatcher, Pikeville, KY
-----Second interview: Community Trust Bank, Pikeville, KY
-----Third interview: National College of Business & Technology, Pikeville, KY
-----Fourth interview: STOP Program, Lexington, KY
-----Fifth interview: Federal Government, Pike/Floyd Counties
-----Sixth interview: Eastern State Hospital, Lexington, KY
-----Seventh interview: Clark County Health Department, Winchester, KY
Just when I have given up hope, I get a phone call. I've got more interviews in Lexington than in Pikeville. Hopefully, one of these jobs in Lexington will turn out. That way I can move into my own apartment in a great city and begin to start my life and future career goals :)
So, keep your fingers crossed for me ;)
