one last kiss.

Okay. That's not really how it started. It is just how it "officially" was started. A few months ago, I caught the end of a movie called 'Forever Lulu' aka 'Along for the Ride.' It was this independent movie with Melanie Griffith, Patrick Swayze, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Anyways, there was this song, 'Say Goodbye' sung by Lauren Kinkade. There is no information that anyone can find out about her or the song. She must have been an unknown who was brought it to provide music for the movie? I did find a similar song. It was also called 'Say Goodbye,' but it was by the rock group Skillet. Today, I was looking at pictures, my past blogs, and reflecting back on the past year. Something in me made me look for this song again. No such luck. I did find the song I was looking for, but it was sung by teenybopper Brooke Allison. This was in fact, the song I was wanting to find. The version skillet did was completely different. It had different words and everything. I like this one much better. It is actually quite good. This will have to suffice, and I don't mind. I love it. It is just a beautiful song. Makes me think of .....(can't say) Let's just call him McHottie. No, he wasn't a character on Grey's Anatomy. Just don't want to divulge his name. Ahh nevermind. Back to my story. When you are kissing someone, make it worth it. You never know when or if you will ever get to kiss them again. It is so important. Make every kiss as if it was the last. Take my advice. Believe me, I know. Things change. People change. You could be at two different places in your lives and may never get a chance to kiss again. Sad. Maybe, maybe not? Guess it depends on your last kiss.

I'll just leave you with this last thought. "If I knew that was going to be our last kiss...I would've never stopped kissing you."

Here are the lyrics:

"Say Goodbye"

Once in every life
Someone steals your heart
And you are forever changed
Even when you must part
You find it hard to leave
The feelings aren't gone
But a voice inside is telling you
You can't hold on

So say goodbye
Oh I can't say that I won't cry
Cause I'm so glad
For everything we had
The good and bad

Say goodbye
Just look at me
You'll know that I
Still love you so
Even though we have to say goodbye

No matter where you are
Wherever that may be
I will always have you here
Deep in the heart of me
And if I never see
That warm and tender smile again
We will always have the memories
Remember when

So say goodbye
Oh I can't say that I won't cry
Cause I'm so glad
For everything we had
The good and bad

Say goodbye
Just look at me
You'll know that I
Still love you so
Even though we have to say goodbye

You've got your life
And you know I've got mine
But we will always be
Forever intertwined
Our hearts know that
It would be wrong to stay
So before
You turn and walk away

Say goodbye
Oh I can't say that I won't cry
Cause I'm so glad
For everything we had
The good and bad

Say goodbye
Just look at me
You'll know that I
Have one last wish
One last kiss
Before we say goodbye

48 Hour Film Project 2007 (Louisville)

The weekend of July 20-22, I got to participate in the '48 Hour Film' Project for the city of Louisville. This is a nationwide contest. Cities all over the United States are selected to participate. The winners selected will be shown at next year's Cannes Film Festival.

This is how it works: Each team must register and go to the designated meeting place. Each team draws a genre out of a hat. Then there is a certain character, a line of dialogue, and prop that all teams must use. All entries are about 7 minutes long. Must be written, shot, edited, and turned in by a certain time. Hence, the name of the contest...48 Hours.

Silver Chain Films in association with Tuckywood Productions drew horror. They made it into more of a hilarious horror/comedy (Greg Brock and Jacob Ennis Directing/Editing).

Line of dialogue: "See, that's what you get."

Character: Alan Roberts or Alma Roberts, fashion designer

Prop: Ice cream cone

On July 25 and July 26, all entries were shown at the Village 8 Cienma. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go. I heard we got a great reaction, and the audience seemed to love it. On August 2, the winners are announced at the JB Museum. Wish us luck!

Here is the entry that was submitted. It is titled '48 Hour Massacre.' Enjoy!

♥SUMMER 2.0.0.7♥

This summer has opened my eyes. I have watched people and been there for them when they were going through hard times. This summer has definitely been the best of my life. Everything seems to be going my way. These are things I already knew. Just thought I would share them with you. Here are some of life's lessons. I probably have some sort of story for each of these : ) Can't give away any details on here. If you know me, you probably can think of some ; ) If you told me I would be where I am at today. I would have told you, you were crazy lol.

1. Say what you need to say because you may never get another chance.

2. Kiss as if it was the last time you were kissing that person. (sooo very true)

3. Never frown because you'll never know who is falling in love with your smile.

4. Don't spend too much time angry, because that is a moment you could've been happy that you'll never get back.

5. Don't go to bed angry.

6. Don't sweat the little things.

7. Some things will never change.

8. Never say never.

9. Life is short.

10. Life is not like the movies. (I already knew that. Just had to throw that one out there. It is never going to be like that. Never.)

11. The one person who you think won't disappoint you, probably will.

12. Don't expect too much.

13. Believe it when you see it.

14. Eyes never lie.

15. Girls do love bad boys. (I'm not speaking on behalf of myself. Just making a generalized statement)

16. Don't look back. Keep moving forward.

17. You just have to learn to forget about the people who forget you.

18. Don't fall in love.

19. Don't take anything for granted.

20. Some things are never over.

21. The only things in life you regret are the risks you didn't take.

22. Life is like an hourglass, sooner or later everything hits the bottom. You just got to be patient and wait for it to turn around.

23. Don't make somebody a priority, when they only make you an option.

24. It's never too late.

25. Sometimes the person you want most is the one you are better off without. (Doesn't have anything to do with me...just like the quote)

26. It is what it is.

27. Sometime it would be so nice to be wrong about people.

28. Life can change in an instant.

29. It is highly unlikely, you will find your soulmate in a bar.

all good things must come to an end

Ahh.. the great philosopher Nelly Furtado said it the best. Sad, but true. All good things must come to an end sooner or later. Nothing can last forever.

I can't believe this summer is almost over with. I had a month off before I started the Upward Bound program. Upward Bound took up about a month and a half. This really has been the best summer of my life. Starting out in May, I wasn't too sure. I just dealt with a couple of assholes. I was losing hope, and then by life did a 360 and then in the end... another asshole.

Anyways, this summer has been great. I have met so many wonderful people. People I wouldn't have never met if I wasn't a part of this program. I feel blessed I was chosen. I still don't know why I was even chosen, but oh well. I have made some great friends. Friends I hope to have throughout life. I have made some great memories and have had great times with the people I have met this summer. Thanks guys. I will miss those of you I won't be able to see on a regular basis.

Long trip was especially fun, because I hadn't been to the beach in 17 years.

I also got to see my friend, who I haven't seen in forever. We have been getting back in touch over the past week or so. He is leaving to go back home to Florida tomorrow. It was good to sit down and see each other. Anyways...

It seems like since everything has been going right this summer.

Life is funny, but in a good way. It can make you realize things you didn't necessarily know. Life is great right now, I just hope it can get better : )

I'm just scared and excited for what the rest of the summer holds. I hope it is awesome. I don't want the summer to end. I want it to last forever, but it will be over before you know it.

Music and Lyrics

"A melody is like seeing someone from the first time. The physical attraction. Sex. I so get that. But then, as you get to know the person, that's the lyrics. Their story. Who they are underneath. It's the combination of the two that makes it magic."-Music and Lyrics (2007)

On the verge

Well...The plans are still not 100%. I have an idea of things I want to do. First, I am going to graduate with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Communication. Second, I am going to get a master's degree or enter a doctoral program in psychology. If I still want to be a medical doctor, I will go back and get pre-requisites and then apply for medical school. I at least need my psychology degree and my master's degree, just in case I won't like the biology and chemistry. My mom doesn't seem to think I can do it. She says I haven't lived up to my potential. Basically that I haven't applied myself, and that I wasn't going to start now. Everybody else seems to think I can do it.
